High-performance flooring and cargo protection for commercial transport and logistics

The Challenge

The Problem: Truck Beds and Trailer Floors That Wear Out Fast

Commercial transport and logistics operators face a constant replacement cycle for flooring and cargo protection panels. Truck bed liners degrade under forklift traffic and heavy pallets. Trailer floors made from hardwood or bamboo laminate absorb moisture from road spray and cargo spills, leading to delamination, surface failure, and eventual structural compromise of the floor assembly.

The problem is compounded by load weight: heavy mechanical loading combined with friction from shifting cargo abrades softer composite materials rapidly, increasing replacement frequency and downtime. Standard composite boards rated for light residential decking are not engineered for the dynamic impact loads of commercial freight environments.

The Miura Board® Solution

With a density of 60-65 lb/ft3 – comparable to African teak – Miura Board offers the compressive and flexural strength required for commercial transport applications. Its high-fiber-content matrix resists abrasion from pallet sliding and forklift tine contact while maintaining dimensional stability under static and dynamic loads.

The material does not absorb liquids from cargo spills, making cleanup straightforward and eliminating the swelling and odor retention common in wood-based trailer floors. It can be cut to fit any trailer configuration using standard circular saw blades.
